Raising Cane’s to open first West Virginia location this year

MORGANTOWN, WV (SWVO) – Popular fast-food chain Raising Cane’s is set to open its first West Virginia restaurant later this year, with a location planned for Morgantown.

The restaurant will be located at 3515 University Town Centre Drive and is expected to open in December 2025.

Known for its chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, and signature Cane’s sauce, the chain has built a strong following across the country.

News of the Morgantown location surfaced after a job posting appeared for a full-time Restaurant Leader in the area, sparking local buzz.

The company has since confirmed the expansion into the Mountain State.

For chicken lovers in north central West Virginia, the new restaurant will be a closer option than existing Raising Cane’s locations, which are currently found in the greater Pittsburgh region.
