FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (SWVO) – West Virginia’s largest single-day festival is underway as the New River Gorge Bridge has officially closed to traffic for Bridge Day.
U.S. 19 at the bridge closed at 7 AM and will not reopen until after 5 PM today.
Pedestrians can explore vendors and walk on the bridge beginning at 9 AM.
Shuttles will begin transporting attendees at 8:30 AM.
