HARRISONBURG, VA (SWVO) – Buc-ee’s, the popular Texas-based travel center chain known for its massive stores, clean restrooms, and wide variety of snacks, is set to open its first Virginia location on June 30—just a short drive from several parts of West Virginia.

The new Buc-ee’s is located off Interstate 81 at exit 240 near Harrisonburg in Rockingham County, Virginia.

The 74,000-square-foot store will feature 120 fuel pumps and offer many of Buc-ee’s signature items, including Texas-style barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, Beaver Nuggets, jerky, and fresh pastries.

Though this is the company’s first location in Virginia, it’s conveniently situated for West Virginians looking to experience the popular travel stop.

From Martinsburg, the drive is approximately 90 minutes. From Beckley, the trip takes about 2.5 hours.

Residents of Charleston can expect a drive of just under 4.5 hours, while those in Lewisburg can reach the store in roughly 1.5 hours.

Buc-ee’s has earned a devoted fanbase across the South for more than 40 years with its affordable fuel, spotless restrooms, and massive selection of food and retail goods.

The company expects the Harrisonburg location to attract both travelers on the busy I-81 corridor and curious visitors from nearby states like West Virginia.
